For my first idea, I was thinking of photographing a "view from my eyes". I would do this by photographing through the lens of glasses. Ideally, I would shoot through the view of multiple people's lenses because each power is different for each person's eyes, so each photos view would be different. I would be open to shooting the same location each time, or changing it up and doing different locations .
My goal for this proposal would be to capture the view of other people in a symbolic and metaphoric way. The viewer would interpret the meaning behind the photo. But, the photos would show how each person views things in different ways and we don't know this until we can see from their POV. For the location, I don't know if I would want to shoot nature, city/town (houses, streets, people) or maybe their own living space.
These test shots are just with my glasses and taken in my apartment. I would be taking them during the day or night depending on the mood I am trying to convey.
Shot list: glasses lens plants (represents it viewing nature), photo 3 glasses lens viewing a picture to show the way it warps the original vs what you see through the lens, 4 glasses lens viewing environment of person whose lenses they are.
For my second idea, I was thinking of photographing one site of nature at every point of the day (early morning, sunrise, afternoon, late afternoon, evening, sunset). I don't know what place I would pick to photograph but I would shoot multiple locations to find the one that fit the idea of my photos the best.
My goal for this proposal would be to capture how different lighting affects the way things are seen and how nature changes throughout the day. This photo essay could show how quickly things change in just a day and how the lighting matters for a photo. Some places I would like to visit and explore are parks, nature preserves, lakes/ponds etc.
I don't have actual test shots for this yet because I have been sick all week and didn't want to go out and expose anyone else. I plan on going out this week and exploring this idea.
